Sidelined by the flu....

I've been stifled by the flu, my friends. I don't believe it is of the "swine" variety, but it has kicked my ass thoroughly, none-the-less. No recording to be done this week. My throat feels as if I have been gargling Drain-o for two solid days. No fun. No fun at all. Fingers crossed that the coming week is better than the current one....

Recording Delayed, Track Listings

Unfortunately, my producer Russell had a scheduling conflict and recording won't resume again for a few more days. In the meantime, however, I have the track listing (most likely final, but we'll see) and the rear album cover. Both could still be modified, but for the time being we're going with this. I'm a tad anxious about finishing up with recording. Probably because it means people are actually going to hear this stuff relatively soon. Yikes. Farewell for now.

January 12, 2010 - Meet & Greet, Album News

So. Hi there. Thought it would be a novel little concept if I were to give a little background of myself before I start rambling incoherently about the latest and greatest in my endlessly entertaining life. My full name is Philip Drew Congino - named after my father. I come from a rather small, mostly Sicilian family based in Chicago. For the most part, however, I came up in Utah. While it has absolutely no bearing on anything whatsoever, I will answer the most obvious, but least pertinent question : No, I am not a mormon. Well, I think that might be enough exposition for the day. And onward...
I've been hard at work on my first album, Another Will Be Along, for quite some time now, and recording finally began last night. Needless to say, I'm indescribably excited and simultaneously terrified. Regardless, I'm pressing forward in the naeve hopes that a few of you out there will like it as much as I do. I will not do the thing where I try to describe the music to you via this blog, or opine on the nature of it or what it all means - that is for you to decide anyhow, not me. Besides, describing music without sound is roughly the equivalent of describing color to someone who was born blind. Very difficult indeed.
Back in the studio in a few days. Be well, my friends.
